Blastrac offers a large range of scarifying machines in different sizes in order to suit any need. This improves the mobility of the Blastrac scarifiers making them ideal for small to large sized jobsites. Due to requests by our customers we developed petrol versions of two of our electrical scarifiers. This improves the mobility of the scarifying machines making them ideal for projects on highways and runways. Besides the floor scarifiers, Blastrac is able to supply you with the spare parts of each machine and a large range of scarifying and milling accessories.
WHAT IS SCARIFYING?
With floor scarifying, cutters are loosely fitted on lateral shafts which are then placed inside a drum housing. The drum is placed inside the scarifier and once the machine is switched on, the rotating drum generates centripetal force which ‘slams’ the cutter at the surface, causing a mechanical cutting action. All Blastrac scarifiers are equipped with a precise height adjustment system. Dust and contaminants created by the scarifier are moved to a dedicated Blastrac dust collector. This makes the scarifying process almost dust free in operation. It removes difficult coatings, hard and thick layers up to 5mms depth per pass, depending on the power, the weight of the scarifying machine, the selected tools and the hardness of the support.
WHERE CAN SCARIFIERS BE USED FOR?
- To remove difficult coatings | such as glues, rubber, and other coatings from floors
- To remove hard and thick layers | of for example concrete and asphalt on highways and runways
- To level floors | such as concrete floors
